Ellis & Gage | Charleston Photographer | Luxury Mini Sessions | Rainey’s Closet collaborationPosted by Ashley Goverman on November 10, 2017 Featured Post | 4 comments
When Erica from Rainey’s Closet contacted me in early October about hosting a luxury mini session roadshow in collaboration with her children’s clothing rental boutique, I was jumping out of my skin in excitement. Her shop has so many gorgeous options for children, including Tutu Du Monde, Blu Pony Vintage, Dollcake, Well Dressed Wolf, Joyfolie, and more…you are guaranteed to find something for your children to look incredibly stylish whether it be for a special event…or like in my case, a photography session! What’s more perfect that renting designer threads and not have to worry about shelling out hundreds of dollars on your child’s outfit to wear for an hour? They make it so easy and take the stress out of planning the wardrobe for your special photos!
When I announced these exclusive mini sessions, I was so excited when a sweet friend from preschool contacted me about having her children’s photos taken during this awesome event here in Charleston! Ellis and Gage are the sweetest! Ellis and Blake (my son) were two peas in a pod last year and they are so happy to be going to the same elementary school this year for kindergarten! Blake was actually disappointed he wasn’t able to come along with me to take their pictures. He’s a little budding photographer himself.
Ellis choose a Tutu du Monde dress and Timmons chose a a Chloe and Ash set for Gage. What a perfect combination! Ellis felt like a princess and who wouldn’t, right? She had so much fun during our shoot on Daniel Island, which has quickly become one of my favorite locations with it’s mossy oak trees as well as a Main Street vibe to give variety. And that is saying a lot because Charleston is filled with great locations for family and children sessions. Ellis loved posing for me and even found a perfect tree that will become a new backdrop every time I am there. I told her I would call it “Ellis’ tree” from now on. She is such a doll! Gage needed some snacks along the way after a long day at preschool. He was a little sleepy, but rocked it out like a champ! He was especially fond of Ellis’ tree at the end. And those turned out to be some of my favorite images from the day!
